Hon finner sig själv simmande i ett hav av egna tårar eller spelande krocket med en flamingo som krocketklubba och med en igelkott som klot. Hon möter en larv som röker vattenpipa och ger usla råd. En kortlek där kungen och drottningen utdelar dödsstraff för i stort sett alla.

Den här inläsningen är gjord från originalöversättningen som gjordes av Emily Nonnen 1870. Den engelska titeln var Alice's Adventures in Wonderland och den svenska blev Alice's äfentyr i sagolandet. Därefter har ett stort antal utgåvor gjorts med olika översättningar.

Charles Dodgson gömde sig bakom författarpseudonymen Lewis Carrol när han gav ut boken 1865.
1998 såldes en första upplaga av boken för 1,5 miljoner dollar. Det högsta pris en barnbok någonsin betingat.

Texten är varsamt bearbetat till modernare svenska.
